According to news reports, among the top 9 universities in China with the highest employment salaries is Fudan University, known as the premier institution of Jiangnan. As a lighting professional, you may want to recommend Fudan's Electric Light Source Department, allowing students to become "Light Ambassadors" in the future, bringing elegant and comfortable light to more people! Fudan University's 2014 score line is expected to be announced at the end of June or early July.
Fudan University was founded in 1905. As of 2014, Fudan University has 15 disciplines ranked in the top 1% globally in ESI, ranking second in the country. Three of its science and engineering disciplines are ranked among the world's top 100. Among them, the Department of Light Sources and Lighting Engineering was established in 1984 and houses the only Light Sources and Lighting major among domestic higher education institutions. To meet the needs of China's economic construction and technological development, and to promote the in-depth implementation of the "Green Lighting Project," with the aim of broadening the specialty, cultivating interdisciplinary talents, and strengthening students' engineering technology and practical capabilities, the Ministry of Education approved in March 2003 the expansion of the "Light Sources and Lighting" major into "Electrical Engineering and Automation," while preserving the distinctive research direction of Light Sources and Lighting Engineering. The predecessor of this department was the Electric Light Source Research Institute led by the renowned electric light source expert Professor Cai Zuquan, which made significant contributions to the birth of new light sources and the development of the lighting industry in China.
Today, the full name of Fudan's Electric Light Source Department is the Department of Light Sources and Lighting Engineering, School of Information Science and Engineering, Fudan University. The Department of Light Sources and Lighting Engineering and the Electric Light Source Research Institute of Fudan University is a specialized institution engaged in teaching and research in this field in China. At the same time, it is also the talent training center of the China Association of Lighting Electric Appliances. The department has extensive exchanges and contacts with the domestic and international lighting academic community and is recognized as the authoritative institution in China's light sources and lighting field. Over the past 30 years, the Electric Light Source Department has trained batches of professional talents for the rapid development of China's lighting industry. Graduates can engage in work related to light sources, lighting, and electrical engineering, including system operation, information processing, research and development, and business management. They develop and produce various light sources and lamps, design various lighting and electrical engineering projects, and conduct research, education, and applications in optical radiation measurement, gas discharge low-temperature plasma, and their applications. Today's outstanding representatives of the department include Cao Jianlin, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology; Chai Guosheng, Chairman and General Manager of Guangdong Snowman Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd.; Li Zhijun, General Manager of Shanghai Yaming Lighting Co., Ltd.; Yin Kang, Managing Director of Toplux Optoelectronics Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.; Yao Mengming, Lighting Design Director of Philips; Dong Bo, Marketing Director of China Eastern Airlines; Pan Jie, Chairman of Foshan Lighting; and Guan Yong, General Manager of Zhejiang Yankon Lighting Electric Group Co., Ltd.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Electric Light Sources at Fudan University. Thirty years is the age of standing, and at a time when lighting technology is advancing rapidly with each passing day, the 30th anniversary celebration is expected to be held on October 18. Alumni of Fudan's Department of Electric Light Sources and colleagues in the lighting industry are warmly welcomed to actively participate, to jointly envision the development trends of the industry and to collectively promote the development of China's lighting cause.
