Eco-friendly hospital passes inspection
Guangzhou's first "Renewable Energy Building" hospital — Panyu District Central Hospital — passes provincial-level inspection.
It is understood that the building energy-saving projects of Panyu Central Hospital include: a water-curtain ventilation and cooling system in the outpatient atrium, which effectively reduces ambient temperature, enabling the hospital lobby to achieve a fresh-air flow rate with temperatures below 29°C year-round; meanwhile, the roof of the inpatient building is fitted with large-scale heat-collector panels, using solar thermal and air-source heat pump technology to build a large-scale centralized hot water supply system; in addition, photovoltaic power generation and LED lighting technology systems are employed to address energy-saving issues in the underground parking lot power supply.
The project is part of the 3rd batch of renewable energy building application demonstration projects and was completed and put into use last October. After reviewing documentation, conducting on-site inspections and听取 reports, the experts concluded that the demonstration project had been completed and met the requirements of the application and design documents. They fully affirmed the comprehensive application of photovoltaic and solar technologies within renewable energy and building energy-saving technologies, and unanimously agreed to pass the inspection.
