Conference Notice for "The Fourth National Symposium on Science and Technology of Electric Light Source Materials"
With energy shortages and climate change becoming increasingly severe, high-efficiency and energy-saving electric light source products have received great attention, and the demand for their performance continues to rise, correspondingly placing higher requirements on electric light source materials. In order to meet the needs of industry development, promote the further advancement of research, production, and application technologies for electric light source materials in China, strengthen technical exchange within the industry, and build a platform for communication and cooperation among enterprises in the sector, the Electric Light Source Professional Committee of the China Illuminating Engineering Society, the Beijing Research Institute of Electric Light Sources, and the Fudan University Research Institute of Electric Light Sources will jointly hold "The Fourth National Symposium on Science and Technology of Electric Light Source Materials" from May 27–29, 2012, in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province.
The conference will discuss the following topics:
(1) Comparison of the quality and performance of metal halide lamps using domestic quartz-sand quartz tubes versus imported quartz-sand quartz tubes;
(2) The structure and basic components of storage-type electrodes, their performance contribution to HPS lamps, and other new types of electrodes;
(3) The production process of PCA, which accounts for the main cost of ceramic metal halide lamp products, and the material requirements;
(4) Market trends of halogen incandescent bulbs and key materials and processes such as filaments for production, halogen cycle agents, and infrared reflective films;
(5) Other lamp materials, such as 85Kr, metal halide pellets for CDM series, etc.
The conference will invite numerous organizations including Pacific Quartz, Xiamen Honglu, Fudan University, the Electric Light Source Materials Research Institute of Nanjing Tech University, Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, China Institute of Atomic Energy, American Specialty Gas, APL, and GE, to give special presentations on the above topics. The organizers will also provide exhibition booths for participating companies to display their products.
We sincerely invite all relevant units to attend this meeting to discuss issues of common concern, in order to promote the further development of China's electric light source materials technology.

1. Meeting time: May 27-29, 2012. Registration all day on the 27th, full-day meeting on the 28th and morning meeting on the 29th, and visit in the afternoon of the 29th;
