Focus on new opportunities in lighting—don't miss this Forum!

To actively respond to the national "Urban Renewal Action" and the strategic goals of "Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality," promote the transformation and upgrading of urban lighting towards green, smart, and human-centric directions, empower the reshaping of urban spaces and the high-quality development of the night-time economy, the "China Urban Renewal and Lighting Innovation Integrated Development Forum" will be held during the 2026 China (Yangzhou) Outdoor Lighting Exhibition (Spring Edition).

Currently, China's urbanization process has shifted from "incremental expansion" to "stock optimization." As an important component of urban public spaces, urban lighting is facing a transition from functional lighting to multidimensional renewal needs encompassing "light environment creation, smart control, energy saving and consumption reduction, and cultural heritage inheritance." Meanwhile, new technologies such as 5G, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence are accelerating their integration with the lighting Industry, making smart light poles, photobiological health, and low-carbon light environments important levers for urban renewal. This Forum will focus on policy guidance, technical pathways, case studies, and Industry collaboration to explore development trends and implementation paths for urban lighting renewal, promote Industry innovation and cooperation, and help build safer, more livable, and smarter modern urban light environments.

Director of the Energy Saving Promotion Division at the National Energy Conservation Center, Senior Engineer. Engaged for many years in energy saving policy research, energy saving technology promotion and energy saving information dissemination. Led the organization of the compilation and review of multiple national standards (mandatory / recommended), organized the review of multiple batches of implementation rules for energy efficiency labels, and participated in the drafting of multiple major policy documents. Organized the compilation and completion of the national standard for general requirements of smart multi-function poles in smart cities.

Lü Jiadong

Professor at Southeast University, Executive Director of the China Illuminating Engineering Society, Executive Director of the China Association of Lighting Industry（中国照明电器协会）, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Illuminating Engineering Society, and Chief Science Popularization Expert of Jiangsu Province. Mainly engaged in the research and development of gas and semiconductor light-emitting devices, application of semiconductor / solid-state lighting (SSL) technology, automated production processes and special equipment for electric light sources. He has presided over or participated in national key scientific and technological tackling projects, national science and technology support projects, and Jiangsu Province scientific and technological achievement transformation projects, and has signed more than one hundred technical development contract projects with enterprises. He has received awards such as the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Education, the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from Jiangsu Province, and the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Innovation from the China Illuminating Engineering Society.
