In recent years, "healthy lighting/circadian lighting/HCL" has become a high-frequency term in the industry: tunable white, circadian modes, smart linkage, scene panels... More and more "features" are being created.

But when we step into real spaces, we often encounter the same awkwardness:

• Advanced marketing, but unstable experience

• Impressive specifications, but uncomfortable on-site

• Meets standards on delivery day, but fails completely after three months

• Talks about health, but lacks a verifiable evidence loop

It is not that a certain company is not working hard, nor that a certain designer is unprofessional,

but rather that the industry lacks one key capability:

→Transforming “good light/healthy light” from a concept into—a delivery system that is verifiable, acceptable, and sustainable in the long term.

Therefore, we launch the "Good Light Wake-Up Call"—

Starting from a more humble, yet more hardcore beginning:

→First get “good light” right, only then can healthy light be trusted.

Good Light Group (GLG, Healthy Light Alliance) originated in Europe and is an international collaboration platform centered on “science, standards, and public value.” GLG believes that light is not only about aesthetics, but also about human health, emotions, productivity, and long-term well-being.

Meanwhile, Asia is experiencing the convergence of three forces:

• Urbanization and indoorization: We spend the vast majority of our time indoors

• AIoT acceleration: Control and data capabilities are advancing by leaps and bounds

• Rising health demands: From individuals to enterprises to society, all are asking for “better environmental outcomes”

This makes Asia the place where “good light” is most needed and most likely to be implemented at scale.

Thus, GLG Asia (GLGA) was established:

→Make "good light" a common language in Asia and make "healthy light" verifiable engineering practice.

GLGA is not a community that only talks about vision; we aim to build an "end-to-end evidence and delivery closed loop," with key focuses including:

Align "people's real feelings" with "measurable data": visual comfort, non-visual effects, experience and scenarios.

B | Co-creating Standards: Giving Asia a Voice in International Standards

Using science and evidence as the benchmark, promote implementation paths aligned with international systems, enabling more Asian enterprises, experts, designers and researchers—

C | Science × Industry Collaboration: Turning research into real projects

Facilitate research translation and scenario validation: Research teams find industry partners, member units commission validation experiments and outsource research, forming reusable methodologies and case studies (protecting necessary trade secrets).

D | Talent and Profession: CPD and Interdisciplinary Training

Establish continuous professional education and capacity building: Deliverable capabilities for designers, verifiable capabilities for manufacturers, and implementable assessment capabilities for scientists.
