Hong Kong's two major autumn lighting fairs gather around 3,000 exhibitors!

∆The 27th Hong Kong International Autumn Lighting Fair opens today, showcasing a variety of smart lighting products and solutions.

The 27thHong Kong International Autumn Lighting Fair(Autumn Lighting Fair), organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will be held for four consecutive days from today (October 27 to 30) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre; the 10thHong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo(Outdoor and Tech Light Expo) will also be held atAsiaWorld-Expofrom October 28 to 31.

∆ The "Connected Lighting Pavilion" at the Autumn Lighting Fair returns with acclaim, showcasing a series of designs and smart technologies brought by many well-known enterprises and brands.

This year’s Autumn Lighting Fair is themed around innovation and smart design throughout the entire exhibition. The "Connected Lighting Pavilion" , which made its upgraded debut last year, is once again the focus this year, gathering about 70 top brands, with increases in the number of brands, countries, and regions represented. In addition to bringing together various innovative smart lighting products and solutions, multiple experience zones have been specially created, offering a visual feast through carefully designed scenes, cutting-edge applications, and technologies, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in a multi-dimensional light and shadow experience where art and technology intersect, and personally understand AI integration, health and wellness applications, and innovative solutions for the silver-haired market.

The "Connected Lighting Pavilion" gathers well-known brands such as Casambi from Finland, Moorgen from Germany, Signify from the Netherlands, and Koizumi from Japan, bringing multiple award-winning designs, designer series, and luminaires and lighting solutions applied in landmark projects worldwide. Major industry alliances for smart lighting and the Internet of Things are also gathered at the Autumn Lighting Fair, including the DALI Alliance, the SILA-EMN Alliance, along with the newly participating Connectivity Standards Alliance and the Zhaga Alliance this year, bringing together members from around the world, including Feifanshi from mainland China, Broadlink Bolian Smart, Inventronics, LEDiL from Finland, Nicolaudie from France, and CUPOWER from Germany, jointly showcasing the smart lighting ecosystem.

∆ The "Famous Lights Gallery" brings together innovative luminaire products and lighting technologies from about 540 international brands.

Another focal exhibition area, the "Famous Lights Gallery" , gathers about 540 elite brands, presenting a series of high-quality lighting products created by internationally renowned brands, including local industry pioneer Prosperity Group (Yau Ching Group) and General Lighting, major manufacturers from mainland China such as LEEDARSON (Leedarson), Tospo Lighting, and Je Woo, as well as international brands like Lival from Finland and Megaman from Germany. Other exhibition areas include "Commercial Lighting", "LED Lighting Components", "LED Lighting", "Home Lighting" and "Testing and Verification Services" , facilitating one-stop procurement for buyers.

Outdoor and Technology Lighting Expo showcases a variety of outdoor, commercial, and industrial lighting products and technologies, helping to drive the development of smart cities. This year's expo continues to feature multiple themed exhibition zones. The "Smart Pole and Solution" zone, newly added last year, returns with acclaim, presenting innovative solutions that help optimize energy efficiency and improve the quality of life for urban residents. These include smart poles from Chengdu Yiming Semiconductor, equipped with energy-saving LED lighting and sensors for environmental sensing, monitoring air quality, temperature, humidity, and noise levels, as well as traffic cameras and sensors to facilitate real-time traffic monitoring and management. Additionally, the modular square stadium lights from Shenzhen Zhongchuang Lighting Technology, located in the "Professional Lighting" zone, have obtained patents in their field; when a part of the luminaire is damaged, only the corresponding part needs to be replaced, simplifying installation and maintenance processes and reducing maintenance costs. Meanwhile, the "Horticultural Lighting" zone brings advanced horticultural lighting technologies and multifunctional luminaires suitable for outdoor parks and home gardens; the "Outdoor and Public Lighting" zone continues to display luminaires designed for outdoor public spaces and advertising purposes.

∆Both exhibitions are themed "Creative Design, Smart Lighting for the Future," and exhibitors also bring multiple experience zones. With carefully designed scenes, cutting-edge applications, and technologies, visitors can immersively enjoy a multi-dimensional light and shadow experience at the intersection of art and technology, offering a visual feast.

Smart homes are becoming increasingly popular. According to Statista data, smart lighting will develop into a $44 billion market by 2030, allowing users to adjust brightness, color, and color temperature according to their needs.

This yearthe Autumn Light Fairalso featured many exhibitors who carefully designed scenes. Casambipresented the Artisan Café, a boutique coffee space curated by them and illuminated with luminaires from the world-renowned architectural and commercial lighting brand ERCO. Combining digital lighting systems with the on-site atmosphere, it offered a unique immersive experience, allowing industry professionals to relax and network over coffee. The basic lighting settings were adjusted according to the circadian rhythm, simulating natural light at different times of day, with four different scene demonstrations provided. Tuya Smartalso set up various scenes such as living rooms and bedrooms, demonstrating artificial intelligence through light and shadow, and showcasing the various technologies and lighting atmospheres provided by its smart lighting solutions.

Moorgenalso presented several co-branded series with global design masters, including smart luminaires co-designed with two award-winning outstanding Chinese designers, Lu Zhirong and Guan Yongquan, famous Hong Kong architectural, interior and product designer Liang Zhitian, Spanish design master Jorge Herrera, and the internationally renowned design firm Yabu Pushelberg. Among them, the Perrier-Jouët electric track light, developed in collaboration with Ma Yansong, the first mainland Chinese architect to win the rights to design an overseas landmark building, made its global debut at the Autumn Light Fair. Developed over two years, the lamp head can rotate 355 degrees and features adjustable beam angles of 10, 15, and 25 degrees, flexibly illuminating every detail. Equipped with an intelligent control system, it allows for easy remote operation and scene switching, creating a smart home lifestyle. Additionally, architectural luminaires designed by Guan Yongquan were exhibited in Hong Kong for the first time.

"Human-centric lighting" continues to be the focus of lighting in 2025, from lighting solutions that align with day-night rhythms to UV-C technology capable of antibacterial action, lighting has become a tool for maintaining health.

Signifyreleased new products at the exhibition, introducing the Philips VitaUp vitamin module, which provides low-intensity UVB exposure to bring users healthy and natural vitamin D. The product is designed for long-term, low-intensity exposure; using it five working days a week is equivalent to walking outdoors for 15 minutes, two to three times a week, during spring and summer noon.

In addition, Jiangsu Yingsuona Communication Technology also brings a healthy lighting system. Through its autonomous rhythm algorithm, it can precisely synchronize with local sunrise and sunset without internet connection, supporting the human body's natural circadian rhythm. The needs of the elderly should not be overlooked either. FoshanLighting has also set up an experience zone, launching eye-protection ceiling lights designed specifically for the elderly, which effectively improve clarity by 15%, enhance circadian rhythm, increase lighting effects by 12%, and reduce user eye fatigue.

According to an April survey by the Trade Development Council on the decorative lighting industry, 37% of respondents believe that LED lighting has the greatest growth potential.

The Autumn Lighting Fair brings many LED-related products, including the "Filmbase Flying Screen" developed by national-level high-tech and specialized enterprises Yuguang Technology, which broke the Guinness World Record to become the world's largest LED mesh flying screen. Local exhibitor GRE Alpha also brings LED drivers and light strings, which are the lighting systems and luminaire for horticultural lighting used in Singapore's Gardens by the Bay light show. Guangdong Weiguan Technology also brings neon soft-light LED strips. Its FleXCite series of neon light strip products are known for their high flexibility, impact resistance, and design capable of coping with changing weather conditions. They can be freely cut and quickly spliced as needed, flexibly adapting to different spaces and creative installations.

Shenzhen exhibitors at the Outdoor and Technology Lighting Expo, Eaglerise Technology, also present a range of outdoor lighting luminaires that have won the German iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Concept Award. Among them, the UFO high-bay light features a unique design, combined with precise optics and high-efficiency power components, integrating power and color temperature adjustment into a single luminaire.

International Outdoor & Tech Lighting Expo and "Eco Expo Asia" (October 28 to October 31) will be held concurrently at AsiaWorld-Expo. Together with the Autumn Edition of Hong Kong International Lighting Fair held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the three exhibitions will create synergies to generate more business opportunities for the industry. From October 28 to 30, attendees can use the free shuttle bus service provided by the organizer to travel between the Convention and Exhibition Centre and AsiaWorld-Expo.

The two lighting fairs will continue to adopt the "EXHIBITION+" online-offline integration model.
