▲Su Qilin, Director of the Guangdong Foreign Trade Service Research Center at Jinan University, delivered a keynote speech titled "Current Macroeconomic Situation and Corporate Responses"

First, Su Qilin delivered the keynote speech on "Current Macroeconomic Situation and Corporate Responses." In his speech, Su Qilin provided an in-depth analysis of the current domestic and international macroeconomic situation and corporate response strategies. He pointed out that at the beginning of 2023, the state's assessment of the economic situation was "high winds and rough seas, even stormy waves," and economic data from 2024 to 2025 has confirmed this judgment. Looking at the M1 indicator, liquid money continued to decrease in 2024, hitting a low of negative 7.4% in September. Although there was a subsequent recovery, household deposits continued to rise, highlighting the issue of tightening liquidity. On the production side, industrial product prices continued to show negative growth. On the consumption side, while the national total retail sales of consumer goods increased, consumption in mega-cities like Beijing and Shanghai declined. The job market also faced pressure, with a decline in the corporate hiring outlook index and unemployment rates remaining at high levels. Furthermore, the escalation of China-US economic and trade struggles, with the Trump administration continuously imposing tariffs and intending to revoke China's most-favored-nation status, will severely impact China's Export. China faces a challenge of over $500 billion in the trade deficit with the US.

Faced with the complex economic situation, Su Qilin believes that China has three "trump cards" to cope with challenges.

其一,政府与银行的支持。以珠海英诺赛科为例,政府初期投入少量资金起到引导作用,后续主要依靠银行等金融机构的支持,使其建成全球领先的8英寸氮化镓生产线。

Second, advantages in science and technology education and talent. Chinese universities are actively promoting the construction of "New Engineering" disciplines. For instance, Fudan University has established multiple innovation colleges, and universities like Zhejiang University are engaging in cross-university collaborations to cultivate innovative talents. Professor Li Zexiang has nurtured outstanding enterprises such as DJI drones, promoting the development of fields like the low-altitude economy. China is now on par with the United States in areas such as artificial intelligence.

Thirdly, adhere to opening up. The construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port is a significant measure. In the field of biomedicine, leveraging real-world data for clinical research accelerates the IPO / Go public of innovative drugs and medical devices, positioning it to potentially occupy an important role in the global biomedical Industry in the future.

Su Qilin emphasized that despite the current severe situation, China's economy still has highlights and development opportunities. Enterprises should align with Industry development trends and leverage new technologies such as artificial intelligence to enhance competitiveness, as demonstrated by SHEIN, which achieved rapid growth through digitalization and artificial intelligence. Governments, banks, universities, and enterprises should work together to leverage advantages in capital, talent, and openness, seeking opportunities amidst challenges to promote high-quality development of China's economy. We believe the future of China's economy is full of hope, and an open country will surely take the initiative in global competition.

▲Wen Qidong, Executive Vice Dean of Guangdong Guangya Lighting Research Institute and Executive President of the International Lighting Chamber of Commerce CILCA, delivered a keynote speech titled "Impact of Tariff Games on China's Lighting Export and Responses"

In his speech titled "Impact of Tariff Games on China's Lighting Export and Responses," Wen Qidong provided an in-depth analysis of the severe tariff situation currently facing China's lighting industry exports. In response to this situation, Wen Qidong proposed response strategies from multiple dimensions.

At the macro level, he suggested that enterprises pay attention to investment opportunities in Southeast Asian countries, providing a detailed comparison of investment costs, policy incentives, and supply chain conditions in Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and other countries. For instance, Cambodia has low tariffs on lighting products exported to the US, along with advantages in labor and land costs, while Vietnam shows greater potential in terms of supply chain completeness and geographical location.

At the industry level, he emphasized the need to accelerate innovation and upgrading of the lighting industry and supply-side reform, focus on cutting-edge technologies, improve product reliability and quality, while expanding the domestic market to form a "dual circulation" pattern.

In addition, he introduced the work of the Guangdong Guangya Lighting Research Institute, providing comprehensive services to enterprises through industry research, industry consulting, event organization, etc., to help Chinese lighting companies implement the "going global" strategy.

Wen Qidong finally emphasized that although tariff games have brought huge challenges to China's lighting exports, they have also forced the industry to accelerate its transformation. Chinese lighting companies should strengthen their confidence, drive by innovation, integrate resources with a global vision, and seek new development opportunities in the complex international economic and trade environment. Through the joint efforts of the government, industry associations, and enterprises, promote the Chinese lighting industry to move towards the high end in the global value chain, realize the transformation from a "major lighting manufacturing country" to a "strong lighting innovation country", and contribute Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the development of the global lighting industry.

▲ Dr. Shao Jiaping, General Manager of Lumileds Asia Pacific, delivered a keynote speech titled "Introduction to Lumileds General and Special Lighting Products"

In his speech "Introduction to Lumileds General and Special Lighting Products", Shao Jiaping elaborated on Lumileds' product layout and innovation direction, combining with the current trend of Chinese companies going global. He pointed out that going global requires technological innovation as the foundation. For example, Huawei broke through technical blockades through integrated innovation. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanan Optoelectronics, Lumileds leverages the chip production capacity of the world's largest LED company and the advantage of over 3,000 patents to focus on its full-wavelength product matrix, ranging from 260nm deep UV to 1080nm near-infrared, covering general lighting, UV disinfection, medical health, and other fields. For instance, the luminous efficacy of the 2835 KSF product reaches 200-260lm/W, and the highest luminous efficacy of COB products is 186lm/W. Ceramic high-power products combine high luminous efficacy with color uniformity, providing solid product support for going global.

Shao Jiaping elevated the speech theme by starting from industry history and future trends. Citing examples of Japanese companies like Room and Murata expanding their scale overseas under pressure, he emphasized that Chinese LED enterprises need to strengthen their "internal skills" such as reliability and quality, draw on Huawei's innovative concept of "multi-channel parallel computing," and break through technical bottlenecks through integrated innovation. He proposed a development path of "Specialization, Transformation, and Transmission," namely focusing on professional technology, transforming application scenarios, and disseminating innovative value , calling on the industry to support basic research, be guided by scenario needs, explore non-visual value in fields such as Healthy lighting, intelligent automotive lighting, and agricultural lighting, promote the upgrade of China's lighting Industry from "manufacturing" to "creation," and achieve the leap from breaking through the "Second Island Chain" to leading industry trends in global competition.
