2025GILE will be held from June 9 to June 12, 2025, at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, inviting you to followGILE (Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition) today's news:

Time is like a refined touchstone; GILE (Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition) has undergone thirty years of tempering, witnessing the booming prosperity of the lighting industry while achieving its own magnificent transformation. From an initial trade fair, it has gradually grown into a comprehensive platform covering the global lighting and LED supply chain, evolving today into a pioneer leading the global "Light+" cross-border ecosystem. GILE always remains true to its original aspiration, promoting innovation in lighting technology and leaps in design creativity. In 2025, GILE will take new steps, launching the "Guangya Journey" series of year-round events as a powerful strategic engine beyond the four-day exhibition, joining hands with global lighting industry partners to jointly drive industrial technological breakthroughs, deepen practical exploration of light applications, and promote their widespread development, opening a new chapter in light-enhanced living.

Amidst the wave of deep integration between the digital economy and the real economy, lighting application scenarios are multiplying, technology iterations are changing with each passing day, and user demands are upgrading, pursuing "cost-performance ratio," focusing not only on price but also on product quality, emphasizing the consumer experience of "value marketing." The lighting market is undergoing a profound transformation from "product output" to "value output," developing towards greater refinement. Market changes have spawned an urgent demand for lighting IP concepts targeting niche markets, different consumer groups, and different scenarios.

GILE Journey" series of activities co-creating lighting technology and concept IPs with the industry

With 30 years of deep cultivation in the lighting industry, GILE understands that this is a profound and challenging task. As the exhibition enters its 30th year, it will take a significant step forward. While maintaining the four-day display and exchange format, GILE has carefully planned and launched the "GILE Journey" year-round series of activities. "GILE Journey" will hold pre-exhibition warm-up events from March to May, expand across the entire exhibition during GILE (Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition) from June 9 to 12, and continue to deepen its impact in major cities nationwide after the event. This initiative aims to build a more open, inclusive, and diverse platform for exchange and cooperation, moving forward with the industry through concrete actions. In different niche sectors, we will co-create multiple benchmark lighting concept IPs. By building these IPs, we aim to drive product R&D with unique selling points and high differentiation, while also promoting industry exchange and cooperation.

In 2025–2026, GILE and Alighting jointly plan to create concept IPs including:

Road lighting — Integrated light-storage-charging (multi-energy integrated Street light), fully perceptual AI road network lighting, low-altitude new economy — AI+drone Smart streetlight / Smart pole, vehicle-road coordination — lights following vehicles, focusing on discussing three major value transformation directions for future Road lighting including:

  • Transitioning from “energy-consuming devices” to “urban service nodes”: integrating energy, data, and security functions to become the nerve endings of smart cities.

  • Shifting from "standardized lighting" to "context-aware services": dynamically responding to the needs of people, vehicles, and the environment through AI.

  • Upgrading from a "cost center" to a "sustainable investment": full life-cycle carbon management creates dual environmental and economic benefits.

Architectural lighting — Energy structure transformation (building optical-storage-DC-flexible distribution systems), ultra-low energy consumption buildings (carbon emission indicators), healthy buildings (daylight adjustment, visual lighting design), with key discussion points including:

  • Integration of dynamic luminous efficacy technology with building data (foot traffic, weather, time);

  • Real-time linkage and sustainable development, including zero-carbon lighting systems and circular design (modular luminaire design for easy disassembly, recycling, and functional iteration);
