Source: China Light Views: 8036

Currently, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is profoundly influencing and transforming various industries. The lighting sector is actively adapting to technological changes to seek new development opportunities. Among these, the application of AI Generated Content (AIGC) in lighting design is drawing significant attention from many lighting designers. To accelerate the updating of knowledge structures regarding innovative technologies and professional skills for lighting design practitioners, and to strengthen the talent pool in lighting design, the Talent Training Committee of the China Association of Lighting Industry(中国照明电器协会) has taken the lead in launching online training on AIGC and its application in lighting design, and will organize an offline "AIGC Lighting Design Workshop" in August to conduct practical training activities. This workshop will teach how to use large language AI models such as Chat-GPT, MJ, and SD, and generate image models through practical exercises.Lighting industry practitioners with certain foundational knowledge of lighting design, as well as professionals in interior and exterior decoration fields, can participate in the training, progressing from zero basics to mastering the entire process of AI lighting design. The specific details of the workshop are notified as follows:

I. Organization

Organizer:

China Association of Lighting Industry(中国照明电器协会)

Organizer:

Talent Training Working Committee of China Association of Lighting Industry

Lighting Design Professional Committee of Sichuan Lighting Industry Association

Co-organizer:

Wuxi Lide Shidai Technology Co., Ltd. (Secretariat Unit of the Talent Training Working Committee of the China Association of Lighting Industry(中国照明电器协会))

II. Time and Location

Training time: August 24–25

Training location: Chengdu, Sichuan Province

III. Introduction to Instructors

Expert Master: Bayerno

Graduated from Fudan University with a major in Light Source and Lighting Engineering, with over 20 years of frontline experience in lighting design.

Previously held positions at Beijing Sain and Leoos Lighting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., serving as Designer, Lead Designer, and Design Team Leader.

Participated in the formulation and revision of national/industry standards such as "Technical Requirements for LED Indoor Lighting Applications (GB/T 31831-2015)" and "Code for Urban Nightscape Lighting Design (JGJ/T 163-2008)".

Bayerno has a deep understanding of the entire process of lighting design and implementation, including coordination points and timing with other disciplines, as well as potential project risks. She has also conducted in-depth research on the application of AI in lighting design, accumulating extensive experience in large language model-assisted design and image generation model-assisted design. She is not only proficient in using AI tools to optimize design processes and improve efficiency, but also capable of predicting and managing potential risks in projects through AI technology to ensure smooth project implementation. Bayerno firmly believes that the introduction of AI technology will bring revolutionary changes to lighting design, enhancing designers' creativity and the final outcome of projects.

Bayerno has extensive successful project experience in regional lighting design, as well as in the indoor and outdoor sectors of public buildings, offices, commercial spaces, and hotels. She has participated in numerous indoor and outdoor lighting design projects, including the Huzhou Moon Hotel, Songjiang Guangfulin Culture and Art Center, Qiandao Lake Anlu Hotel, Ninghai Anlan Hotel, Fuzhou Strait Culture and Art Center, and Tianan Sunshine Plaza (Thousand Trees), which have successively won first and second prizes in the China Lighting Award and other professional awards.
