The four-day leading event in the lighting industry, the 29th Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, GILE), will grandly open on June 9, 2024, in Halls A and B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Cross-industry collaboration: GILE joins forces with JD.com's decorative lighting business to launch a co-branded mega-sale event dedicated to the lighting category
In today's world, where digitalization is sweeping across the globe, the e-commerce industry has become an important (sales) channel for daily consumption, thanks to its unique charm and huge market potential.
To promote the integration of online + offline (sales) channels in the lighting industry, the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition will join forces with JD.com's decorative lighting business. In conjunction with JD.com's 618 mega-sale campaign, a co-branded mega-sale event dedicated to the lighting category will be launched on June 9–10. This initiative provides participating exhibitors with exclusive 618 venues and traffic-driving activities, helping lighting and decorative lighting companies explore multi-channel sales businesses, bridge the gap between consumers and brands, and promote consumption upgrades for lighting products.

Innovation: Xiangliang — The "Light+" Ecosystem Platform amplifies public voice, driving the implementation of diversified application markets
As consumption patterns shift in the "Light + Era", lighting companies need to break through traditional business models. Centered on new marketing models such as circle marketing and direct-to-consumer marketing, the 2024 GILE concurrent event "Resonance – 'Light +' Ecosystem Platform Public Voice" will cover five voice arenas, seven light application ecosystem exchange sessions, and an appreciation conference. It will explore with the industry how to realize an infinite future for light through eight metrics: voice, traffic, sales volume, existing stock, quality, incremental growth, variables, and energy.
The five voice arenas include the Brand Voice Arena, Smart Ecosystem Voice Arena, Design Ecosystem Voice Arena, Trade Ecosystem Voice Arena, and Technology Voice Arena, bringing together renowned industry experts, scholars, business associations, designers, and leading practitioners from home and abroad to speak and share their unique insights on industry development.
The seven light application ecosystems cover urban renewal and construction circles, cultural tourism and theme entertainment design circles, low-carbon healthy building circles, multi-dimensional living and home furnishing circles, hotel and homestay circles in the new consumption era, elderly care and wellness industry circles, and retail commercial experience space design circles. The light application ecosystems and the Power Match business matching activities for foreign trade will be held at the floating platform and meeting rooms in Zone A, discussing the implementation and promotion of light applications, analyzing the market environment and demands of various application industries, promoting the development of innovative technologies and light applications, and inspiring more business cooperation as well as collisions of ideas and thinking challenges regarding new layouts of light applications.
The Lighting Appreciation Conference and related forums and exhibition tours will be held in Hall 8.1. In 2024, Aladdin will invite industry KOCs and KOLs to become Aladdin Lighting Appreciation Officers. Through a series of appreciation activities held throughout the year, they will output evaluation system content. Hangjia Information Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Hangjia Shuo") and GILE jointly created the "New Energy Storage Demonstration Pavilion" in Hall 5.2 . Under the goals of carbon neutrality and peak carbon emissions, energy storage, as a key supporting technology for the energy revolution, is building a zero-carbon future for thousands of industries. Any industry related to electricity has the potential to become a new scenario for energy storage applications. Among them, the optoelectronics industry, as a major energy consumer, has an increasing demand for energy storage. This New Energy Storage Demonstration Pavilion aims to promote energy storage in the optoelectronics industry, create a new model of "Energy Storage + Optoelectronics Industry" in response to the low-carbon development requirements of the optoelectronics industry, allow energy storage to penetrate into niche segments of the optoelectronics industry, and accelerate the achievement of the "Dual Carbon" goals.
In the future, photovoltaic street lights will play an important role in promoting the construction of smart cities. By contributing to environmental protection, intelligent management, multi-functional integration, and industrial development, photovoltaic street lights will inject new vitality into the sustainable development of cities. This edition of GILE will set up a Street Light Exhibition Hall in Hall 5.1 and join forces with the Gaoyou City Luminaire Association , on one hand, to showcase that the environmental protection and energy saving characteristics of photovoltaic street lights align with the green development concept of smart cities. On the other hand, it will demonstrate that the intelligent control systems of photovoltaic street lights can be combined with technologies such as the Internet of Things and big data in smart cities to achieve functions such as remote monitoring, fault warning, and data analysis, thereby improving the level of intelligent urban management.
Light Life Aesthetics (Hall 10.1: "Luce e design Design Aesthetics Exhibition" and Hall 13.1: Zhongshan Lighting Capital Special Pavilion)
GILE and Luce e design create a special exhibition area "Luce e design Design Aesthetics Exhibition" , specially inviting Stefano Piontini, Partner and General Manager of VSP Shanghai Branch, and Mr. Xu Dongliang from Dongliang International Lighting Design Center to jointly curate an exhibition centered on Light+ (LightPlus), inspired by the Colosseum in Rome, Italy, forming a deep link between light and people, space, and environment, creating an aesthetic display space integrating art, design, and creativity, and building a design expression platform that integrates East and West.
Guzhen Lighting Capital has long been renowned in the decorative lighting industry. The craftsmanship of Guzhen luminaires has a long history, forming a unique style and character. GILE and the Zhongshan Decorative Lighting Industry Association jointly created the "Zhongshan Lighting Capital Special Pavilion" in Hall 13.1, inviting Guzhen luminaire manufacturing enterprises to participate in showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship, unique designs, and rich materials of Guzhen Lighting Capital.
Light Art (Hall 3.1: 4th Light Art Exhibition)
The Light Art Exhibition aims to promote the iterative upgrade of Chinese lighting luminaire brands in art, culture, creativity, and commercial applications, and to drive innovative development and international cooperation in China's light art industry. The "4th Light Art Exhibition" is themed "Metamorphosis", symbolizing the transformation and sublimation of the old into the new, as well as the integration and innovation of cross-industry ecosystems.
Light Agriculture (Hall 5.2: Bio-optics and Smart Agriculture Demonstration Pavilion)
In line with the national dual-carbon strategy, China aims to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2060. Bio-optics and clean energy are crucial for achieving dual-carbon goals in the agricultural sector. GILE and the China Agricultural Mechanization Association have jointly created the industry's first "Bio-optics and Smart Agriculture Demonstration Pavilion", aiming to leverage the existing advantages of Chinese optoelectronic enterprises in the biological field to create a cross-industry exhibition and technical exchange platform integrating biological lighting and smart agriculture. This initiative promotes bidirectional empowerment across the entire supply chain in the biological lighting and smart agriculture sectors, driving the transformation and upgrading of the biological lighting industry through innovative technologies and scenarios, thereby comprehensively enhancing new quality productive forces in smart agriculture.
As an important component of the demonstration pavilion, GILE will once again join hands with the China Agricultural Mechanization Association and China Agricultural University in 2024 to host the "2024 International Forum on Bio-optics and Smart Agriculture", aiming to explore how optoelectronic and AI technologies empower the transformation and upgrading of traditional agriculture to smart agriculture, providing digital and intelligent solutions for future agriculture.
