"Light + Future" is the annual theme of GILE (Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition) 2023. The greatest challenge brought by the future is not the unknown, but whether we can think openly, dare to innovate continuously to formulate business plans, and find feasible paths to realize our imagination. The most imaginative aspect of "Light + Future" is the smart IoT, where the concepts of Internet of Everything, Metaverse, and new energy bring brand-new spatial visual immersive experiences to the lighting industry, and make luminous surfaces embedded with digital content more creative in design. The future of the lighting industry is full of imagination; practitioners actively break through from original innovation to application-oriented research, endowing light with more value and bringing a better "Light + Future". This new concept is like multiple equations, bringing infinite imagination to the industry:

· Light + Intelligence = Semiconductor Light Sources + Digital Capabilities (HCL + AI + IoT)

· Light + Healthy Environment = Visual Light + Psychological Light + Physiological Light

· Light + Biology = Biological Lighting

· Light + Art = Spatial Aesthetics + Lighting Installations

· Light + City = Cultural Tourism Night Economy + Urban and Rural Construction + People's Happiness + Physical and Mental Health

· Light + Sports = Intelligent Design + Gamified Scenarios

· Light + Energy = Energy saving + New Energy + Energy Storage + Clean Energy

Regarding the future of the industry, Mr. Hu Zhongshun, General Manager of Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co., Ltd., stated: "Companies will move forward through innovative applications, developing towards large-scale, extensive, and dense regional (Sales) channels, while also penetrating into small and beautiful niche segments. The future is always full of hope and change; practitioners may need to undergo changes in business models, intelligent transformation, and omni-channel integration. However, the unchanging core is the original passion for the industry, creating high-quality lighting products with love."
