China Smart Agriculture Lighting Innovation Forum

Source: China Light Views: 3593

In recent years, horticultural lighting has become a key focus of industry development. Compared with traditional agricultural cultivation, plants grown under horticultural lighting receive more suitable light, nutrients, and humidity, enabling normal continuous production even under harsh conditions or disasters. Meanwhile, horticultural lighting combines botany with the Internet of Things (IoT), optimizing plant growth and development by controlling illuminance, photoperiod, spectrum distribution, and light uniformity, thereby achieving precise control over the plant cultivation process.

The "National Rural Revitalization Strategic Plan (2018–2022)" points out the need to vigorously develop digital agriculture, implement smart agriculture projects and the "Internet+" modern agriculture action, encourage digital transformation of agricultural production, strengthen the application of agricultural remote sensing and the Internet of Things, and improve the precision level of agriculture.

To implement the innovation-driven development strategy of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and to carry out the goal deployment of the Ministry of Science and Technology on promoting the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation with social development, further helping researchers, enterprise technical personnel, and planting units to deeply understand and master new technologies, new equipment, and the latest planting techniques of plant factories, on December 23, 2022, the online platform Ming Ketang held the "China Smart Agriculture Lighting Innovation Forum".
