CUTEX 2022 | Empowering cultural tourism enterprises to uncover more new business opportunities

The Yangtze River Delta International Cultural and Technological Equipment Exhibition (CUTEX) will be held from April 7-10, 2022 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). The brand-new cultural and technological equipment exhibition has been integrated into the larger system of the Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industry Expo.

CUTEX 2022 | New Highlights

CUTEX will highlight the innovation and application of intelligent stage performance equipment and digital multimedia products in scenarios such as night tourism entertainment, performances, theaters, museums, and science and technology museums, showcasing new directions in the integration of culture and tourism:

1. Digital technology joins hands with cultural tourism art, immersive experience empowers cultural tourism spaces

CUTEX currently attracts participation from technical equipment enterprises and service providers in fields such as AR/VR, 5G+8K ultra-high definition, holographic imaging, smart hardware, and immersive experience platforms.

Companies such as EPSON, Huanwei, Christie, Liancheng, LWA Culture, MANA, Fengyuzhu, and SONY will create comprehensive cultural, tourism, and entertainment immersive experiences through smart interactive products, applying digital technology combined with cultural creativity.


2. Convergence of cutting-edge technologies across industries, promising future for digital cultural tourism

Addressing the development needs of the cultural Industry, CUTEX also gathers participation from technology enterprises in big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, bringing digital cultural tourism within reach.

Participation by companies in frontier fields of information technology and architectural design, such as Baidu, Tencent, Huawei, Tsinghua Architecture, SenseTime, INESA, and Tongfang, fully reflects new trends in integrated cultural tourism technology, where technology stimulates new cultural momentum.


3. Comprehensive upgrade of performing arts equipment, early release of new cultural tourism products

CUTEX 2022 | Concurrent Events

In addition to showcasing new directions for digital cultural equipment in cultural tourism integration, CUTEX will invite relevant departments and expert leaders to interpret industry policies and hot topics, helping enterprises discover Industry demands. Some activities are as follows:

1. Smart Museum Innovation and Development Forum – “Digital · Technology”

The Forum is co-hosted by the Shanghai Museum, the Shanghai Museums Association, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai Committee.

At that time, leaders of museum administrative departments from provinces and cities across China, key cultural and heritage institutions, museum industry associations, exhibition and display companies, museum solution suppliers, design firms, as well as experts and scholars will gather in Shanghai to discuss the innovation and development of smart museums.


2. Yangtze River Delta Theater Trend Development Forum – Future Theater

This Forum, themed “Future Theater,” focuses on two topics: “digital construction of theaters” and “immersive theater experiences.” It explores the market development of theater performances, online performances, and digital virtual actors, as well as how to leverage technological equipment to achieve the integration of art and technology, promote the renovation and upgrading of theaters in the Yangtze River Delta, and enable the performing arts industry, represented by theaters, to become an important force in building the “Capital of Asian Performing Arts” and an industrial booster for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.


3. 2022 Night Tourism Economy and Cultural & Creative Lighting Forum

This forum will focus on "technology empowering culture, digital leading development," covering multiple dimensions such as the excavation and integration of culture and art, the planning, design and operation of night tourism projects, and the implementation and application of lighting projection and multimedia technologies. By leveraging advanced technologies such as multimedia, projection, and AR/VR, it integrates lighting, culture, and creativity into public art spaces and scenic areas to create core nighttime attractions.


4. "2022 Cultural Tourism and Theme Entertainment Ranking" and Development Summit Forum

This event is jointly hosted by the Exhibition Organizing Committee and the Institute for Theme Parks at the School of Lifelong Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The forum aims to promote the further development of cultural tourism and theme entertainment, setting benchmarks for the industry's future growth. With the theme of integrating science and culture, it explores models combining immersive experiences with urban complexes, public spaces, and tourist attractions, stimulating new cultural momentum and promoting new consumption in culture and entertainment.
