Forum Background

The 2021 Smart Museum Innovation and Development Forum will be held on November 19, 2021, concurrently with the 4th Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industry Expo at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). At that time, several museums from across the country, over a hundred representatives, and industry leaders will gather in Shanghai to discuss the innovation and development of smart museums.

The "14th Five-Year Plan for Cultural Industry Development" clearly states: Encourage the construction of cultural and tourism consumption clusters that bring together cultural and creative stores, specialty bookstores, theaters, cultural entertainment venues, museums, art galleries, etc., promoting the transformation of traditional commercial complexes into cultural, sports, and business-travel complexes, and supporting the construction of high-quality pedestrian streets with rich cultural connotations.

Under the major trend of urban digital transformation, museum digitization has achieved excellent results through years of practice. To share successful experiences in the construction of smart museums and explore solutions to problems faced in digital transformation, the "2021 Smart Museum Innovation and Development Forum" will focus on key issues encountered in digital upgrades and technology empowerment. By integrating "exhibition" and "conference," it invites "museum owners" and "technology enterprises" to engage in dialogue on the same stage, aiming to jointly promote the innovative development of China's cultural heritage sector.
