2020 Smart Agriculture Lighting Innovation Forum

To implement the innovation-driven development strategy of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and to carry out the Ministry of Science and Technology's strategic deployment for promoting the deep integration of technological innovation with social development, and to further help researchers, enterprise technical personnel, and planting units gain a deeper understanding and mastery of new technologies, new equipment, and the latest planting techniques for plant factories, on October 24, 2020, during the 25th China Guzhen International Decorative Lighting Expo, the "Smart Agriculture Lighting Innovation Forum," hosted by the China Association of Lighting Industry, the Productivity Promotion Center of Guzhen Town, Zhongshan City, and the National Smart Plant Factory Innovation Alliance, and organized by Zhongshan Guzhen Dengdu Exhibition Co., Ltd. and Wuxi Lide Shidai Technology Co., Ltd. (Agricultural Lighting Network), was successfully held.

The forum also received co-organizing support from the Agricultural Lighting Professional Committee of the China Association of Lighting Industry, the Luminaire Professional Committee of the China Association of Lighting Industry, Seoul Semiconductor Co., Ltd., and Xuyou Optoelectronics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.

Hong Bing, Secretary-General of the Agricultural Lighting Professional Committee of the China Association of Lighting Industry and Editor-in-Chief of the Agricultural Lighting Network, delivered the opening remarks.

Due to the rapid advancement of horticultural lighting technology, artificial light-based smart plant factory technology has become a global technological高地. This technology is an efficient agricultural system that achieves year-round continuous crop production through high-precision environmental control within facilities. It will become a new driver for building a smart agriculture ecosystem, representing the latest development direction of modern agriculture in China. Through nearly 20 years of unremitting efforts, Chinese scientists have achieved a globally leading position. There is an urgent need to popularize and promote this technology across China to ensure people's livelihoods and stabilize society.
