Suzhou Wujiang District Green Smart Lighting and Digital Intelligent Integrated Management Project
Project Name:
Wujiang District Green Smart Lighting and Digital Integrated Management Project
Project Location:
Suzhou, Wujiang District
Lighting Solution and Management:
OPPLE Lighting
As a key node in the Yangtze River Delta’s integrated development, Suzhou’s Wujiang District not only shoulders the mission of demonstrating regional coordinated growth but also remains at the forefront of green, low‑carbon transformation and smart city construction.
In 2018, OPPLE Lighting launched a nationally leading single‑lamp control platform in Wujiang, which was designated by the National Development and Reform Commission as a “Major Ecological Civilization Project” for nationwide promotion. To date, the system has connected over 100,000 smart streetlight nodes. By 2025, as the Yangtze River Delta Demonstration Zone enters a new phase of high‑quality development, Wujiang’s urban lighting will undergo another round of quality enhancement and upgrading.
This project adopts an energy‑performance contracting model, with OPPLE Lighting responsible for investment, construction, and ongoing operation and maintenance over a ten‑year service period. Centered around the core solution of “high‑efficiency LED smart streetlights + IoT power supplies + intelligent lighting management platform,” the project digitally upgrades all 27,600 streetlights and control cabinets across the district and deploys OPPLE Galaxy AI agents, continuously advancing urban lighting toward greater sustainability, intelligence, and efficiency.
The standout feature of the Wujiang project lies in the deep integration of two cutting‑edge technologies: OPPLE’s IoT power supply and Galaxy AI agents. This dual‑technology approach enables Wujiang’s road lighting to achieve another leap forward in both green energy savings and smart management and operations.
The IoT power supply integrates the streetlight controller and drive power supply into a single, unified unit, delivering enhanced safety, stability, and convenience. Its compact design reduces connection points and potential failure sources, boosting installation and maintenance efficiency by up to 50% while achieving a fault‑alert accuracy rate of 99% and significantly lowering the risk of electrical leakage.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy AI agent further elevates the platform’s capabilities. Leveraging vast amounts of operational data, machine learning algorithms, and specialized road‑lighting models, the platform automatically analyzes lighting needs across different roads, time periods, and scenarios, continuously improving its ability to “analyze, decide, and optimize.”
The deeper value of the Wujiang project resides in the transformation of its energy‑saving logic. OPPLE replaces outdated LED streetlights with high‑efficiency LED units and employs a synergistic combination of IoT power supplies and AI agents, making energy conservation smarter than ever before.
On one hand, real‑time operational data from each streetlight is collected via the IoT power supply and uploaded to the platform; on the other, the Galaxy AI agent uses this extensive dataset to build a dynamic “scenario–demand–supply” model, automatically generating optimized time‑based and zone‑specific lighting strategies. While ensuring superior road illumination and travel safety, these measures unlock additional energy‑saving potential.
Against the backdrop of replacing old LEDs with new ones, OPPLE leverages more efficient luminaires and smarter management systems to achieve an overall energy‑saving rate of 40%, realizing “further savings on top of existing reductions” and providing a higher‑quality solution for the green, low‑carbon upgrade of urban lighting.
The AI‑powered platform establishes an intelligent operations‑and‑maintenance decision‑making framework. Through big‑data‑driven AI analysis, the system can identify abnormal conditions, analyze operating patterns, and refine management strategies—shifting from reactive repairs to proactive alerts and smart task assignment. This effectively reduces the burden of manual inspections and lowers maintenance costs, while significantly enhancing the stability, reliability, and management efficiency of urban lighting. Equipment availability and lighting rates exceed 99.5%.
This year, the Wujiang District Green Smart Lighting and Digital Integrated Management Project was recognized as an Outstanding Case of the 2026 Service Demonstration Zone by the Developer Alliance of the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone, underscoring the value of the collaborative deployment of IoT power supplies and Galaxy AI agents. Moving forward, OPPLE Lighting will continue to pioneer the application of innovative technologies across more projects, injecting fresh momentum into cities’ green, low‑carbon development and smart‑city initiatives.
