The Adwa Commercial and Transportation Hub is located in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. With a total floor area of approximately 30,000 square meters, it integrates multiple functions—including bus parking, taxi stands, bus terminals, and a commercial center—making it a key urban transportation facility in the region.

With diverse functions such as transit transfers, vehicle parking, and commercial‑leisure activities converging at the hub, the project presents varied lighting requirements. To address these needs, Opple Lighting has implemented tailored lighting solutions using a range of high‑quality luminaires, balancing pedestrian safety with an enhanced spatial experience to create a clear, stable lighting environment throughout the hub.

As the core area of the transportation hub, the underground space accommodates the docking and movement of buses, coaches, taxis, and other vehicles. Faced with expansive open areas and heavy pedestrian‑vehicle traffic, Opple Lighting has deployed LED linear lights, arranged continuously along driving and parking zones to provide uniform illumination across large spaces, thereby enhancing overall visibility. The sleek, linear fixtures blend seamlessly with the ceiling, minimizing visual clutter while making vehicle movements and pedestrian activity easier to discern, ensuring reliable lighting for daily operations, safe driving, and passenger safety.
