Illuminating Southeast Asia’s Highest: OSRAM Traxon e:cue Lights Up Vietnam Landmark

Shanghai, May 21, 2020 – Recently, OSRAM subsidiary Traxon e:cue and Vietnamese lighting technology company LK Technology joined forces to support the “Light Up Love” themed light show at the Landmark 81 building in Ho Chi Minh City. At night, the building was illuminated with brilliant and dazzling light, paying the highest tribute to medical personnel and citizens fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

The intelligent dynamic lighting on the facade of Landmark 81 is provided by OSRAM subsidiary Traxon e:cue, using more than 12,500 OSRAM Traxon luminaires, managed through the e:cue Lighting Control Engine series. Products selected include custom LED dot fixtures, *Monochrome Tube media tubes, e:cue Butler S2, and Lighting Control Engine 2 sub-control devices. The dynamic lighting effects depict the four elements of water, fire, wind, and earth on the facade of Landmark 81, with magnificent light colors clearly visible from ten kilometers away.

To save energy and reduce light pollution, the e:cue control system ensures that facade lighting functions are activated only at night. In addition, the system presets lighting effects for the Landmark 81 facade through programming to meet lighting needs for different times, events or celebrations, greatly reducing management difficulty and operational costs.

Standing at 461.5 meters, Landmark 81 is the tallest skyscraper in Southeast Asia and the sixth tallest in Asia. Integrating commercial spaces, retail shopping, and luxury residential apartments, it is Vietnam's new generation landmark building. The bright and elegant dynamic lighting effects by OSRAM Traxon e:cue fully complement Landmark 81's high-end luxury positioning, giving it a unique symbol of identity and helping it become the super urban complex with the greatest commercial value in Vietnam and even Southeast Asia.
