Signify lights up the world's largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad, India

Global lighting leader Signify (Euronext Amsterdam stock code: LIGHT) has successfully illuminated India's largest cricket stadium, the Sardar Patel Stadium, commonly known as the Motera Stadium, providing excellent views for cricket fans in India. The stadium was built through a collaboration between the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Indian industrial giant Larsen & Toubro, and was also the venue for a public rally held jointly by US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during Trump's visit to India.

Signify equipped the Motera Stadium with 580 Philips ArenaVision LED luminaires, suitable for both day and night matches, complying with the broadcast standards for sports venue lighting established by the ICC (International Cricket Council). With a capacity of 110,000 spectators, the stadium is one of India's most renowned cricket venues, owned by the Gujarat Cricket Association, featuring two playing fields, a cricket academy, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a gymnasium, and 75 boxes, and regularly hosts Test matches and One Day Internationals (ODI).

The new system is specifically designed for competitive sports and multi-purpose venues, offering high-quality lighting, higher energy efficiency, reliable thermal management, and a longer service life.
