Wheat Warehouse was born into a baking family and is a baking brand under BreadTalk Group, the number one bread and cake brand in Singapore. Stepping into its store, the air is filled with a strong wheat aroma, as if you were in a wheat field.

"Good wine needs no bush," but the aroma-rich bread is hard for consumers to resist with their eyes. During the preliminary phase of creating a lighting solution for Mai Zi Cang Ku, Manjamei® designers conducted an on-site survey of a physical store in Guangzhou. They identified issues requiring improvement in areas such as bread display racks, display cabinets, cake counters, and cashier desks, including light spots that were too small, excessive contrast between light and dark areas, beam angles that were too narrow, and glare.

Therefore, when designing the lighting solution for Mai Zi Cang Ku's new store at COCO Park in Futian District, Shenzhen, Manjamei® used a color temperature of 2800K-3000K as the "base tone." The warm yellow light creates a cozy atmosphere while making the baked bread look more delicious. Spotlights with different beam angles were combined to create varied lighting effects. Integrating the design concept of points, lines, and planes, the overall store lighting achieves an orderly balance of light and shadow.

After communicating with the interior designer, high color rendering LED strips with a color temperature of 2800K were installed on both the upper and lower layers of the cake and bread cabinets, providing sufficient light for the cakes and bread inside. Since the store features floor-to-ceiling windows for display, the bread cabinet is a key attraction for customers. Above these cabinets, Manjamei® 10.5W dimmable module spotlights were installed, creating a window-display-style accent lighting effect visible from outside. The measured illuminance of the bread cabinet is 3-4 times higher than the horizontal plane illuminance in the store, making the bread more eye-catching. The same module spotlights were also installed in the cake cabinets.

The customer dining and leisure area has no obstructions and connects directly to the sales area, so it cannot be too dark. Manjamei® LED MR16 High Lumen Series 7W dimmable reflector lamps, paired with high color rendering LED strips and supplemented by a few Manjamei® 10.5W module spotlights, achieve a perfect transition of light.

The 36° Manjamei® 10.5W module spotlights used above the cashier desk, paired with white recessed square adjustable-angle luminaires, effectively prevent glare. This provides customers with a pleasant and comfortable shopping environment.

The kitchen uses 4000K high-efficiency integrated anti-glare downlights. Chefs work in a high-temperature, high-humidity environment, so neutral white 4000K lighting is used to make them feel more comfortable.

The bright light color makes it easier for chefs to work, while also making the kitchen interior appear clean and bright to customers outside the window. This reassures customers and increases their desire to purchase.
