This case is the flood lighting project for the super high-rise office building of the International Shopping Center in Zone B of Anliang City Plaza, a candidate project for the engineering category of the 2017 Aladdin Lamp Award. The project covers an area of approximately 230.69 mu, with a total construction area of about 90 square meters. Anliang City Plaza International Shopping Center includes Apartments 1-3# on floors A zone 32 floor 1-3#, and the shopping center and super high-rise office building (building height B zone, building height 214.2m) in Zone B. It is planned as a top-tier international urban complex, integrating top-level shopping centers, leisure blocks, 5A grade office buildings, fashionable business apartments, and prestigious residences, combining shopping, leisure, business, socializing, and living into a super-large-scale urban complex.

Project Introduction

Scale: The project covers an area of approximately 230.69 mu, with a total construction area of about 900,000 square meters. Zone A of the Anliang City Plaza International Shopping Center includes 32-story apartments #1-3, while Zone B features a shopping mall and a super high-rise office building (architectural height 214.2m). Based on the blueprint of a world-class urban complex, it integrates top-tier shopping centers, leisure blocks, Grade 5A office buildings, fashionable business apartments, and prestigious residences, combining shopping, leisure, business, socializing, and living into one ultra-large-scale urban complex.

Features: With the vision of operating a city, significant investment was made to create the Anliang City Plaza project. Ultimate design for international living: In the planning and design, residential clusters adhere to the design concepts of energy saving, intelligence, low carbon, and ecology, striving to create the ultimate residence for international living civilization: The project selects world-top energy saving and intelligent technical equipment, adopts an ultra-large-scale enclosed layout plan, features the classic ARTDECO architectural style, and is complemented by ecological landscape gardens created with substantial investment.

This technical standard is formulated with reference to the above standards. Where there are inconsistencies in technical parameter requirements among the various standards, the provisions with higher requirements and stronger professionalism shall be implemented. When there are new versions or replacement standards for the aforementioned standards and referenced standards, the new versions or replacement standards shall be adopted.

(II) General Technical Requirements

1.All products must pass the China Compulsory Certification (CCC Certification).

2.Luminaire appearance requirements: flat, smooth, free from rust and obvious scratches; firm protective layer; uniform color without color difference; no burrs on inner walls and ports; stable structure without deformation.

3.Wiring of the luminaire must not be exposed. Luminaire accessories must be complete, with no mechanical damage, deformation, paint peeling, lampshade cracking, light box cracking, or light box warping.

4.Wiring of the Luminaire: Its voltage resistance rating shall be no less than AC 500V, and temperature resistance 105℃; its minimum conductor core: copper stranded wire shall be no less than 0.5mm, and the wire ends must be tinned; single-strand copper wire shall be no less than 0.5mm. If the Luminaire housing is metal, it must have a dedicated grounding terminal.

5.All Luminaires shall first be placed in plastic bags, then packaged in boxes, and finally packed into cartons. The outside of the carton must have clear and durable markings: manufacturer name, address, product name and model, product quantity, carton dimensions (length × width × height), and gross weight, etc.

6.The device nameplate shall be affixed in a conspicuous place. The nameplate contents include: manufacturer name, address, product name and model, production date, rated current, rated voltage, product standard number, etc.

7.Documents supplied with the product include: product certificate of conformity, user manual, inspection report, and enterprise production standards, which must be complete.

8.The Luminaire volume must be compact and lightweight. The aluminum alloy surface of the Luminaire body shall undergo two coats of fluorocarbon paint treatment, with the color consistent with the facade color;

9.All wiring shall be installed within cable trunking, and male-female plug connections shall not be exposed;

10.The luminaires and accessories proposed by the bidder shall be of the same brand to facilitate maintenance and interchangeability; the light sources shall be from top-tier domestic brands;

11.When submitting the bid, the bidder shall attach publicly available catalogs from the manufacturers of the proposed light sources, electrical components, and luminaires. Simultaneously, a table (format at the bidder's discretion) must be included in the bid documents indicating the page numbers in the catalogs for all proposed specifications of light sources, electrical components, and luminaires. If products are non-standard, the bidder must attach separate detailed technical descriptions for each non-standard product, and still include a table (format at the bidder's discretion) in the bid documents indicating the page numbers where these technical descriptions are located.

12.The manufacturer shall have passed ISO9001 international quality certification and ISO14001 environmental management system certification.

The protection rating of all luminaires shall be no less than IP65.

Energy saving measures and effects

2.1 Energy saving measures:

Firstly, the selection of light sources, luminaires, and electrical components is particularly important; this project fully adopts LED high-efficiency energy-saving luminaire products, which currently offer the best energy saving effect.

Secondly, the following aspects were also considered in scientific energy-saving lighting design:

1) Reasonable lighting circuits: Three-phase four-wire power supply has much lower line losses than other power supply methods. Therefore, the lighting system should adopt three-phase four-wire power supply as much as possible.

2) Appropriate switch control methods and full utilization of natural light: Make full use of natural light, reasonably design lighting switches, and take measures such as separate control for luminaires near windows.

3) Selection of lighting methods: To save electricity while meeting standard illuminance requirements, three methods were selected: general lighting, local lighting, and mixed lighting.

Finally, during usage, management systems for lighting energy saving were adopted, mainly focusing on publicity and education for energy saving and establishing and implementing lighting energy-saving regulations, so that people develop the habit of turning off lights when leaving.

2.2 Energy saving effect:

Based on the use of luminaires at the project site, combined with the nature of the engineering and the application of the solution, the current lighting not only meets requirements such as color rendering and start-up time, but also selects LED light sources with high efficacy, long lifespan, high cost-performance ratio, convenience, and good start-up reliability. The energy saving effect is higher than that of conventional luminaire light sources.

(I) Luminaires and materials:

The types of luminaires used in the project include: 182 LED wall washers at the top, 8000 meters of LED linear lights on the facade, and 530 square meters of dot-matrix characters at the top of the facade.

All luminaires use high-efficacy 140 lm/W Cree LED chips and light-transmitting PC with a transmittance rate of 0.9, as well as tempered glass. Compared to ordinary LED luminaires, under the premise of achieving the same luminance effect, the energy saving effect is more than 40%.

Wall washer:

1) Adopts an integrated design, increasing the heat dissipation area by 80% compared to ordinary wall washers, improving the luminaire's heat dissipation efficiency and service life.

2) Patented waterproof breathable plug solves the problem of unstable internal air pressure caused by heating and keeps the interior dry for a long time, extending electrical life.

Linear light:

1) Aluminum base design greatly improves heat dissipation and service life compared to ordinary plastic bases, while enhancing the aesthetic appearance and blending seamlessly with the building facade.

2) Thickened bottom wires reduce the voltage drop of the luminaire, allowing more luminaires to be connected in series. This facilitates centralized installation and maintenance of low-voltage electrical appliances, ensures more uniform lighting, eliminates exposed low-voltage wiring, reduces installation workload, improves aesthetic appeal, and lowers the failure rate.

(II) Electrical Layout and Maintenance Control:

Utilize the control of the smart lighting system to adjust the number of luminaires switched on or off according to festivals and foot traffic at any time; adopt full brightness for luminaires during peak hours (17:00-22:00), and only illuminate the matrix characters in the latter half of the night (22:00-06:00), greatly saving unnecessary luminaire functions and electricity costs, while extending luminaire lifespan.

All distribution cabinets and low-voltage electrical appliances are concentrated on the roof of the building, facilitating centralized maintenance, reducing the frequency of high-altitude work, and lowering the maintenance cost of luminaires.

(3) Energy saving:

Peak electricity tariff:

Wall washer: 182*36*1.2 + Linear light: 8000*10*1.2 + Dot matrix characters: 530*100*1.2 = 167.5KW

Late-night lighting:

Dot matrix characters: 530*100*1.2 = 63.6KW

By using high luminous efficacy LED beads, 535 kWh of electricity can be saved per day.

Through intelligent control methods, 832 kWh of electricity can be saved per day.

Due to the adoption of numerous new technologies and high-quality luminaires, maintenance costs are significantly reduced. The luminaires require virtually no routine maintenance or work at heights; normal maintenance is only required once a quarter in the centralized electrical equipment area on the building's roof.
