Philips（照明业务：Signify 昕诺飞） customized a lighting solution for Caterpillar featuring the TPS550 with occupancy and daylight sensing dimming. The TPS550 luminaire itself achieves an efficiency of up to 95%, with significant improvements in uniformity and color rendering compared to traditional metal halide lamps. One-to-one replacement can achieve energy savings of up to 45%. Combined with occupancy and daylight sensing control, the system maintains high illuminance when personnel are present, and delays dimming down the system illuminance when no one is operating. Furthermore, the overall dimming effect responds to the current natural light illuminance, resulting in total energy saving of 70% for the entire lighting system.
